In 2013, climbers discovered fossils of sea lilies and mollusks on the summit of Everest. No wonder, only sea creatures turned out to be only 14-12,000 years old. Scandal in the scientific community erupted serious.


Scientists tried to destroy the situation and in 2014-2015 a specially created group of researchers studied other major peaks in the world. At an altitude of 6-6.5 km above sea level, fossilized representatives of marine fauna were found everywhere, whose age was estimated at a maximum of 14,000 years. Simply put, such finds indicate that somehow sea creatures ended up at the level of the highest mountains at the same time due to an unknown cataclysm.
